Local Author Showcase

We are absolutely delighted to be hosting a Local Author Showcase that gives published writers of any genre from South Derbyshire and beyond the opportunity to celebrate and share their work with the community.

This includes a month-long display at the South Derbyshire Visitor Information Centre, alongside a dedicated presence within The Imaginarium at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum during the 2026 Swadlincote Festival of Words.

Published authors may take advantage of a Meet the Author session, offering the chance to sign books, read excerpts, chat with visitors or spend the time engaging with readers in their own way. These 45 minute sessions will be part of the two day Imaginarium programme on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Local authors interested in taking part are encouraged to get in touch by email to hello@swadlincotefestivalofwords.co.uk to secure their place and become part of the festival celebrations.
